Creating a Modeling Factory at Vodafone D2: Using Teradata and KXen for Rapid Modeling

Having terabytes of detailed transaction data is both a rich source of potential knowledge and a source of great complexity. At Vodafone Germany we combined Teradata and KXen to create a Modeling Factory. The solution greatly reduces complexity and provides quick business value out of the Teradata warehouse. It is used to support several areas of Vodafone's business.

 

In this presentation, we will describe the analytical architecture designed to support rapid model development and show how KXen and Teradata should be used together to drive business value and flexibility. We will also discuss what the business requirements were that drove Vodafone Germany to select KXen and Teradata as their major analytical environment.
